Right channel audio cuts out until I plug in inserts/outs

I am having a strange problem. A can be playing back my tracks just fine and then all of a sudden I will lose all audio in the right channel of the headphone out on the MBox interface. Then I have to go back and plug a cable into each of the inserts, and the line outs on the back and then unplug them all again at which point my right channel audio comes back... for about 5 minutes. I basically have to redo this proceedure DOZENS of times per session. Gets old REALLY fast.

Any ideas of what may be causing this puzzling problem???
