Default 002r - 8 chan of D/A

Hey - I just purchased a 002r for my home studio and was wondering if anyone was using something they liked for lightpipe Digital to Analog conversion? I want to get 8 more channels of outputs from the lightpipe, and wanted to get some ideas... Thanks!

btw - i've seen the apogee DA-16x - is there is little brother to this? Or something less expensive?

Forgive me for being so inquisitive, but why do you need 16x D/A ?

I want to be able to do all of my summing outside the box... The Folcrum and other summing boxes have really sparked my interest!
I was looking around - and I guess really the best thing for me to do, so I wont be dissapointed down the road is to get some nice AD/DA - that would allow me the summing box options, as well as the option to add more decent pre's down the road. The RME ADI-8 DS looks like a good unit. It's $1,800.00 on Sweetwater. It's not as expensive as an Apogee conversion, but I've heard good things about all the RME products... Thoughts?

Other really nice options for 8 channel AD/DA:

Apogee Rosetta 800
Lucid 8824
Mytek converters are nice. I dont think they have a one box 8 channel AD/DA, they're seperate units.

I hear good things about RME as well but not as much as i hear about these. Keep in mind that the 002r doesnt do 96kHz over ADAT optical, 48kHz max.
