Workspace suddenly not finding anything

Okay, so I've been using the Workspace for ages, and its always generally worked for me. Now all of a sudden, it's saying it can't find anything that most definitely exists in the area it's searching. I'll select a SFX library that's 500GB in size, and the search lasts for the blink of an eye, before coming up with nothing. I'm obviously neglecting something here, though I can't figure out what. So let's say I start with this...

Now, if I enter 'animal' in the search window, I get this result instantaneously...

Can anyone fill me in on what bonehead thing I'm overlooking? Thanks!

hi eric, while you work on your Pics .. your signature of system info is not showing .. or maybe you do not care to share it .. all good ..

but i think you are on a MAC right ?? in workspace PT12.8 .. there is an option under the little arrow on the upper right of the window ... it says Don't Limit Search Results ...

mine is not checked and i am finding all my SFX libraries .. is your checked or not ??

or could you be searching an offline volume .. there is an option for this as well ..

i can make it work .. it seems to depend on what i have selected on the Left Side - Locations .. if i have the wrong thing selected it cannot find itself !! haha .. but correctly chosen and it works perfectly ..

i do not use this that much but for now

1) Click on Volumes in Locations Pane ..
2) choose Animal (i used soccerball) ..
3) i see what i expect ... what do you see ?? anything or nothing still ??

it seems like if it is visable it thinks you know you can see it .. then when you search down the next level it will start to show things that are hidden still .. waiting to open another layer of the Onion ..

nope ...oops .. sorry .. unless you want to see what removing the .R does to solve a Panning Automation issue ... haha

i did .. maybe i replied to you in the other Thread ... LOL ..

see my post above .. i see some of what you see but can work around it ... not saying you should workaround an expected behavior .. just that this works for me right now ..
