This is so controversial and you will probably get many different repsonses. I own about 15 Mac computers G3, G4, and G5s and I help people build PCs as well as owning PC laptops and desktops of varying speeds from Pentium to Pentium 4s. If you put the fastest G5 Mac processor in the Windows environment it would probably respond between an XP 2200 and XP 2400 AMD processor or a 2.4 Ghz Intel P4 Northwood at best. This is why Apple is switching to Intel processors in the next few years. The thing that I like about the Mac computer is that OSX 10.3 and above is more efficient requiring less processor power to get the same task completed in similar programs like Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.. If Apple utilizes the Pentium M processor in their current laptops it would be the best laptop available. Just my thoughts.
