Trouble registering Pro Tools

Hi, I've just recently got Pro Tools recording studio that came with Pro Tools M-Powered Essential 8 installer cd. I installed everything after inserting the disk, but for some reason when I open M-Powered and try to use a function a message pops up saying "You have selected an item that is only available, in the full version of ProTools M-Powered". I was never prompted for any registration number or anything like that and I'm having a hard time finding an answer on the website. Can anyone help me out please?

I think that's the reason right there -- M-Powered Essential is NOT a "full" version (i.e., it's a lightweight version with certain features disabled). IIRC, the Essential version doesn't require any registration and I believe the full M-Powered versions starting at version 8 require iLok authorization.
