Big thanks AVID for making me waist my time and loose money as long as you got paid everything is golden on your end ... so now i'm going to re download and re install my previous version of PT waiting for you to do your job and fix your mistake.
Usualy I always do a backup before I upgrade but I though it's just a minor update nothing major I should be good ... WRONG |

Sorry that you are having trouble. Can't find your Avid or iLok accounts based on your forum User Name or Email. Have you contacted Avid CS yet?

Re: You are trying to run a newer version of pro Tools than allowed by your licence b
Not sure if you can help Jeffro.
I purchased an Annual Upgrade Subscription earlier today. • Did all the iLok stuff/synchronized the new license • installed 12.8.3 (which a got through Download Center - not "My Products"). But upon launch I'm getting the same error telling me "you are trying to run a new version of Pro Tools than allowed by your license." My license is valid until Jan 22, 2019. So... yeah... discouraged after spending money, and wasting several hours of valuable time. I've opened a case #03383938 ... but still waiting. If you can speed anything along, it would be very helpful. Kindest regards, Chris |
