Default Need 2018.12 download

Mac Pro (early 2009) OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

oops... I upgraded Pro Tools from 2018.12 to 2019.12, and now cannot launch Pro Tools.

Is 2018.12 still available somewhere?

Avid Support will help you with it, unless you want to get rid of that El.Crap which must be the worst OSX ever...

@JFreak Yea, sadly El Crapitan is the last OS that this Mac Pro (early 2009) box can use. It gave me 11 years! May be time to retire it finally.

@Meads Thanks for the download! If I can revert to Pro Tools 2018 successfully at least I will have some time to sort out a hardware upgrade.

I am running Sierra 10.12.6 on my Mac Pro (early 2009).....same here, lots of good years. Did a memory upgrade to help it out.....its slightly faster...LOL. To purchase a new one! wow did you see the prices? I want one though...what computer can you say you used for that many years.

Actually you can install later OS if you google "patched mojave installer" for example. Better have Metal compatible GPU though. And while you are hacking your +10yr box, you could flash it to 5,1 and upgrade CPU. But sure, factory support is ended long time ago.

I have a half-dead 2010 macmini4,1 here so once I get a working SSD for it I'm going to try to install Catalina on it. Will report back once I have a good idea how it goes. Just to give you an idea what is the difference of "supported" and "working". Also if something is working it isn't necessarily sensible but sometimes you do things for fun and bragging rights
