Default Antelope Orion and Dangerous Source issues.

Hello!

I bought the Antelope Orion and the Dangerous Source.

I have the Orion and the Source running into my computer via USB.
I want to have separate AD and DA that's why i bought the source.

For some reason when I select the playback engine to be the dangerous source the inputs become greyed out and I cannot record anything.
So when i changed the playback engine to the ASIO ORION DRIVER i can't hear anything (obviously) but the inputs can be selected.

I don't understand what I am missing because I had this set up before and it worked fine. Maybe something got messed up in pro tools 10 and it's a very simple fix (that's what i hope!) but I'm getting really frustrated because I can't record a simple guitar track!

I can't default the inputs when I have the dangerous source selected.

Please help!!

Thanks
Joe

Let the ORION be the interface and feed a digital output FROM the ORION, to the Dangerous? Since Windows cannot do "aggregate" audio, you must choose only 1 device to be the audio engine. As long as the ORION can do a SPDIF or AES output, that should be the way to run this combo

Ahhhhh okay that would make sense. So if i take SPDIF out of the orion and into the AES input of the source it should technically work.....right? haha

Thanks for the reply!

Actually, SPDIF out to SPDIF in, or AES out to AES in(or use an adapter if you must change format)
