I am curious how the Garritan Big Band thing came out... anyone tried it?

The miroslav/philharmonik stuff would be great if you're looking for classical and ambient type sounds, but not as much for rock and funk. I do like the reason orkester library too.

You have to make a difference between the 16-bit librarys and the 24-bit librarys.

SAXLAB is excellent.
BRASS by Arturia is excellent.

Arturia Brass is a synth not a library(i know you knew that but others have to know this). Some of the demos have been rather dinky, many of the reviews have been dismal. But people have to understand that the goal was to recreate how a player plays the horn, not just giving you the horn straight up. I have yet to try it so I won't continue to comment, but I did read someone describe it as a person blowing air through a papertowel roll which made me laugh.

I have Garritan Jazz & Big Band - fantastic sounds and a great level of control.
