Default PT and Lexicon MX200

Has anyone had any luck using the Lexicon MX200 with a PTLE session? I'm trying to use it as a hardware insert. I used the VST-RTAS wrapper and everything is showing up and should be working, but I'm confused about the proper routing. It is connected via the S/PIDF connection on my 002.

If anyone has done this, I would appreciate the help.

Thanks

How about anyone who has used a hardware "Plug-in" through a S/PDIF connection on the 002. What routing did you use... how did you set up your bus to send out the audio to your rack unit and back into your session?

Thanks for helping.

I have the MPX 200 Very simple. I am not sure if the MX is exactly the same but for me its like this.
Just hook up the s/pdif ins and outs from the units. Setup a master stereo channel in the mix window,
and select I/O 17 S/PDIF stereo . Works great for me as a reverb for thr entire mix. It will work the same on any stereo channel.
You just have to remember to turn on the mpx 200 when you come back to that session after closing it for a while.
I forgot a few times and you will get no sound unless its the 200 on after you set it up in the mix.
Cheers

There are a few songs on there. On the first tune I used Trilogy. If I'm not using a real bass I use Trilogy. It's the clear winner for Bass sounds especially Upright. Thanks for checking it out.

Best,
Steve

I came into the forum today with the exact same question. I have an MPX200 Lexicon

I did not tink there would be a hope of getting anything.

Great thanks.

rather than a whole mix, what do you do if you just want to record say the drums with ambience. ie say a sample loop.

Out Of Blue, you just need to make any track a stereo track and follow the above setup

Blues Boy, What I meant was the Bass "Drum" on the track that plays on the guitar case So Fat !!

You can use it for any individual track just as you would normaly set up a Verb bus in your session. Say you want to use it for a vocal... Create your Lexicon Aux by setting up TWO stereo AUX tracks. The first has an input of Bus 1-2 (or whatever Bus you want to use) and an Output to the S/PIDF. The second Aux comes in from the S/PIDF and out to your regular master output channels. Then set up a send on your vocal track to your bus. I don't think it matters where you put the MX Edit plug-in, but I have it on my first Aux track.

The only thing to watch for is that on my 002 the S/PIDF ins and outs (in the i/o setup window) where set to 7-8 when actually they should be at 17-18. Make sure you make that change if you are not getting you audio to the Lexicon.

Hope that helps.
Steve
