Default Freak; 11 and 10.10.2

Dear Avid,

It seems that Apple has made the Freak patch available only to 10.10.2 (as well as 10.8.5 and 10.9.5), and not 10.10.1. If possible, I would appreciate if you could prioritize or rush a release of PT 11 approved for 10.10.2.

I'd very much like to get rid of Freak as I connect to quite some secure sites through my studio computer (to fetch OMFs and transfer bounces etc), but I'd rather not until you certify 11 for it.

Best,
Marcel

I didn't want to wait for an answer or fix anymore. My Pro Tools HD 11.3.1 was beginning to do really bad with video engine crashes every ten to fifteen minutes. Also, 10.10.1 was released almost half a year ago. That's a very long time for hackers to begin exploiting security problems for users like me having our studios connected to the internet - to collaborate.

A few days ago I upgraded to 10.10.3 and since then my video engine problems have been noticeably fewer. OS X is even a bit snappier when moving windows around and switching between applications. Best of all is that I got the OS X security fixes applied.

Avid, thank you for making the excellent Pro Tools. I wish though for you to be more communicative about concerns around it.

Sorry Avid.
I noticed now that you updated the requirements for 11.3.1 to include 10.10.2. I didn't notice that.

Pro Tools 11.3.1 supports Mac OS X 10.10 - 10.10.2 (Yosemite), 10.9.5 (Mavericks) and 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)
