The workaround does seem to work fine as long as you're using Instrument or audio tracks. PITA though.
Well I guess I'll try and take some comfort that Avid is aware and hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised!

Still going to bump this thread though

Everyone should keep doing that. I'm surprised they haven't addressed it here yet.

I agree to that, let's keep this thread alive
There have been a couple of threads about this issue the last 4 months or so, that have silently died away.
Let us not let that happen to this thread.

Best regards,
Markus

Maybe this is another one of those bugs they can't fix? I guess Avid broke something in their complete rewrite of the audio engine that totally escaped beta testing/fixes.

Well it's nice to see that this thread is finally getting the attention it deserves from DUC members. Hopefully, AVID will follow suite.

This thread, to me, is the best example of several of the ADC related issues we have in PT11 with AAE. The clearly articulated VI issue that is dominant in this thread is one - however, the DUC is littered with "Compensation Issues" ranging from:

The common thread is stressing of the ADC Buffer or incorrect use of the ADC Buffer. In all cases, there are the possibility of timing misalignment if the buffer is stressed too much.

While the video bug has seen the majority of AVID's and the DUC's attention - this issue infects ALL of us - even those of us not working with video regularly.

I hope the continued attention this thread is generating finally lands with AVID - and we see their attention focussed on solving all of these Compensation issues.

I find it hard to believe someone from Avid listened to a description of the issue and proclaimed it "unimportant".

This is way too deep in the code. It would take a team a long time to get this squared without disrupting the rest of the program. I wonder what the PT 11 team is working on? PT12?

How could anything be too deep in the code for the team that coded it to address it. lol
