Default Mbox pro 3 (3.gen) not showing up in Windows 7

Hi!

I just got a used Mbox Pro 3. gen, but I can't get it to show up in my device manager.

My PCIe-firewire card is showing up, and I have tried to update the Pci-card driver. I also hav installed the latest Mbox driver.

Just to clarify my OS (Win 7) can't find the Mbox at all.

This is the PCIe-card I have installed in my pc: https://www.komplett.no/sunswayst-la...5630#!tab:info

I also just got a brand new firewire cable, so I don't think that's the problem.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Here is the Sandra report:

Do you have another computer to test the MBox on? Do you know if it has ever been hotplugged?

Start with the basic stuff, try another firewire cable... a cable that has never been used with anything is always good to suspect.

What does the Window device manager show under Firewire? Anything at all?... screenshot?

I don't have another computer unfortunately. And the seller said that there was no problems with the mbox (he could ofcourse be lying).

Avid has been known to be a bit finicky when it comes to firewire cards. The only cards that are sure to work are the ones with a Texas Instruments chipset.
While others may work, it may have problems. This could be a problem here..

Avid is a company, Pro Tools is the product....

And the Firewire controller reported in the Sandra report included in his first post in this thread is a well regarded board that uses the TI XIO2200A controller.

Yes I'm aware of that. Avid is the company that makes Protools and the Mbox.
