Settings for a new guy

Hello everyone, thanks for your time. I'm new to mac and Pro Tools and am looking for advice on best settings in PT and osx. I'm running a digi002 on a 20"2ghz intel imac with 2 gigs ram. Thanks in advance.

There is not a "best settings" it's more of what settings work for your machine and circumstances.

Play with the Playback Engine Settings.

Go through the troubleshooting thread if you have problems, but try it out first and see if you run into any issues. Make sure all of your plugins are intel compatible.. this seems to be a major stumbling block for many. Use an external firewire drive with an oxford 911/912/924 chipset if you can for recording. Digi does not recommend recording to the system drive.
