PT10 HD With UAD2 Issue
Hi Team,
Just thought I'd share a massive problem which turned out to have a simple solution. After a clean PT10HD install I found that loading any of my older PT7-9 sessions would cause PT10 to crash. If I tried to reload PT10 I'd get the complete freeze with "You need to restart your computer" After fearing the worst and spending ages looking into this, I found that the sessions would load if I disabled the plugins by shift clicking on load session. Anyway to cut a long story shorter, it transpired that I'd not loaded the UAD2 software so all my UAD2 plugins were missing. This is rather annoying as I would have expected PT to trap something as basic as this... Anyway folks, if PT10 does crash when loading after a clean install then check you have loaded all your plugins that are required by the session you are trying to load. If this saves one person all the troubleshooting I have been through then it was worth posting it here. Cheers Lizardpoint |
