PT 9 iLok authorizations

Are PT9 and PT9 HD using different iLok authorizations, or is it same for both products? Anybody knows?

Yes, they're different auths. A Pro Tools 9 HD auth gives someone the same features as a Pro Tools 9 + Complete Production Toolkit auth.

And while we're at it... I keep hearing of a new 'version' of iLok. Can you help clear up that mystery as well?

Hi,

Yes it was showed during the PT9 presentation. its much smaller and tuffer. all boxed version come with the new ilok from what they said!! The new ilok is not anywhere available yet.

Is there a boxed version of the HD8 -> HD9 upgrade that includes the new ilok? The web store seems to indicate there will be but a retailer told me that the HD upgrade to 9 is download only. . . . I'm leaning toward holding out for the new ilok if possible -- dealing with Waves Mercury plus everything else on the current iloks is just a nightmare.

Yes from what was said! boxed upgrade versions are available in the store or retailers! most don't have any stock yet, the Digi store should have though.

new ilok holds about 800 auths and about the size of a thumb nail.
