Default PT HD at 96 k not holding sinc

We're at the scoring stage and locking up three HD systems....
1 Recording & PB Orch. 1 Playback synth tracks,
1 Recording mixes.

all with sync I/O.... all getting black...
and they are slipping in and out of phase with each other.

I've done this a bunch of times with Mix 24 systems at 48k 24 bit... no problems
we're running 96k at 24 bit.
I'm trying to figure out if the problem is with the sync i/0 or HD or running 96 k or what.
Any body else having this problem.

thanks

Are all three systems Loop Sync'd similarly? Same cables, lengths? Same timecode feed, resolving the same?

Hmmm....I'll be involved doing the same thing myself in a month or so. Curious to know what the final outcome is.

Which scoring stage, btw?

Craig

Hey Byfar prod.,

In theory what you are doing should work, but have you tried haveing all HD rigs slaving to external word clock? If you don't have a 96k generator, maybe have one rig be the clock master and have the others slave to word clock comming from the "master" sync IO.

Good luck,
B. Fella

Latest word from the rental company is that there was a bad sync I/O.
that allowed the sample rate to vari... We tossed out all the protools sessions from that day and reloaded them from the analog back up.
It would have been nice if the sync i/o lights would have indicated vari in sample rates or something, but no it sat there with all its' lights on telling us everything was fine.
