pushing me away...I even would like to stay but with my latest poll my service will be legacy systems into legacy hybrids with dual (HD2/UAD Octos) I/O Software and console splits.

I've tested 3 HDX systems and It's only partially delivered. Never has surpass the general feel of TDM accel (Has more of other-things but less stability than HD running non HDX with non Avid interfaces....

Power user since sound tools...

Avid are noobs at "coming soon"
Sonoma Wire Works - promoted and advertised pre orders for DrumCore 4
in Nov 2013 to be ready by Feb 2014…………almost 2 years later and still nothing.
Just a little vent there….as you were.

It's rental only? I didn't get that impression. I thought it was rental only for Non HD. I thought it was included for free if you have the HD yearly service plan?

Or is that what you mean by rental? A yearly rental? Doh!

nuts. I hope they come sooner rather than later. I was about to buy the softube amp sims for a session I have coming up.

But since Eleven is now included with my yearly "support and upgrade" plan i figured I could save the money... but not if it isn't out before my session. :-(

Also, does anyone know if these new Avid plugins will be DSP and Native or native only? I didn't see anything on that. I need a DSP amp sim to track scratch guitars why recording drums and bass.

Seriously!
I'm stuck in the Sonoma wire works nightmare also. And the last build they sent me, the flash drive was corrupt so now I don't even have the crippled beta version.
Drum core 4 is shaping up to be a joke. Addictive Drums is getting heavy usage on my end.

At the moment the information is opaque at best. What is clear is that the new bundled plugins for both HD and regular will only work with an active subscription. So while the basic software package is a permanent license, from now on it seems at least some of the plugins are rental.

What hasn't been spelled out in simple black and white terms is whether or not all the existing plugins will remain as full license. If someone is buying new, is it even remotely clear which plugins are which? The more we hear about how underhand this last announcement has been (PT10 license dropped with no warning and no information of any kind from the $99 upgrade), the more I'm assuming the worst. It could be that they plan to make all plugins subscription only - maybe they already are with all the new updates. We just don't know. The basic details need completely overhauling to make things much clearer.

I was initially very positive about 12.2 from a vanilla user's perspective, if not HD. Now it looks like yet another step backwards into irrelevance. I'll be interested to see if Avid's presence on this board now reverts to type and they vanish until the next update (the saintly Jeffo excepted to put out individual fires). I'd be feeling less antognistic towards them if they stuck around permanently, so at least there is an ongoing dialog.

EDIT - looks like the website has been update to make the issue of the separate rental plugins clearer. As to any ongoing commitments however, there are none.

Default Where are these free pro plugins anyway?

So I hear all the talk about these 'pro' plugins that are now free (as long as you're under a subscription) but I don't see them anywhere. What's the deal?

The deal is they will be added to valid account holders during the next weeks and Avid gave a hint that two weeks from last wednesdays webinar so I would say they should start add now and keep that up for the next 7-10 days
