I mean I use the shortcut on the keyboard. ALT-CMD-/ this doesn't work.
but the command works from the menu and as Eucon-Command from the S6 Automation Module.

With the transport stopped, the key command works here as expected. In play it doesn't, as expected.

With the transport in play, the Write To buttons in the Automation window and the buttons on my ICON work, as expected.

I am getting these same behaviors in 11 and 12.

For me it doesn't work in play and stop mode. (PT 12)
in 10 + 11 everything is fine in both modes.

I use a german keyboard but my OS X language is set to english and so is protools. but that shouldn't be an issue I think.

I use this shortcut 100+ times a day when mixing...

What I see here is that none of the keyboard shortcuts (with forward slash) work, but they all work from the console (Modes > second page).

When using the keyboard, I see the Edit menu flash in blue, but nothing happens, and therefore nothing in the undo queue either.

Getting the same thing … but only since upgrading to 12.1, was fine in 12.0

Getting others suddenly not working as well (with 12.1), but only when using the numeric keypad. If I take the slash on the main keyboard, it works.

Same situation with, for example, Trim End to Insertion: Shift-Alt 8. Works on the main keyboard, if I take the "8" along the top, but doesn't work if I take the 8 on the alpha numeric keyboard.

WTF is going on! Why are these commands being changed? I'm sitting here with clients, feeling like an idiot, and work flow has ground to a halt.

Default Protools shortcuts not working with OS 10.9.5

Hello

Does anyone have a problem with the F1 to F12 keyboard keys ? It only wants to do system commands. I deactivated hot corners + mission control and spotlight command and it still does it... No more Slip, Grid, Spot etc... What am i missing ? Thanks !

We're using Protools 10.3.9 HD + OS Yosemite 10.9.5

go into system prefs, look under "keyboard". There is a check box for "Use F1, F2, etc as standard function keys". Make sure it's checked.

I have been in contact with support regarding this bug. Below is the latest answer I got from them, which shows that they are aware of the problem at least.
The workaround did not work for me unfortunately, but maybe it does for you?
Hope they fix it properly soon!

"This is an issue we are aware of, affecting MacBook Pro laptops with Pro Tools 12.

For now we have a workaround.
Use Karabiner which is a keyboard customizer for OS X.
Launch “System Preference”, select “Keyboard”, choose “Input source”, then add “US keyboard” (If it’s not there already).
Visit the following homepage, then download “Karabiner-10.6.0.dmg”
https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/index.html.en
Install Karabiner-10.6.0.dmg (Mac OS X 10.9-10.10)
Launch “Karabiner” from Application folder
Select “MenuBar”, add profile named as “ProTools”
Select “ProTools” from “Setting List - MenuBar”
Select “Change Key” , choose “Change Keyboard Layout”, click “Use Japanese Keyboard as US Keyboard”

Before launching PT12, please check the input source is “US Keyboard” and the profile of Karabiner is “ProTools”
I'm not an expert in using this app, but this worked for other customers.

Please let me know how this goes.

Kind regards,
Avid Customer Care | Audio"
