That's why properly designed desks also have the "bumper" - it works like one of those wrist supports you get for your keyboard. It is more of an issue with things like scrub wheels. And yes, piano training does help. Especially if you've ever used an old BBC console where the faders work the opposite way round.

Well, I suppose you have ruled out the S6 then.

Apparently, the Raven is nice.

And which is even worst for RSI (keyboards wise) time has shown that the wrist support constructs the nerves even more.

Fact is when you're typing at a keyboard, playing piano or even using a console, your wrist should be parallel to the back of your hand and knuckles or slightly higher, no wrist rest will be high enough for that, and if you keep your wrist and forearm up as your supposed to, an angle in the keyboard or the faders will not put a strain on your wrist and risk RSI. I have never seen a console (even the one in the upper million) that had a hand rest that was high enough to raise the wrist above the fader and finger all together. Those that have the said hand rest high enough are desks that are custom made to receive the console.

Also one note, if you want the faders of the S6 to be leveled with the floor, you can always have a desk made with the appropriate angle for the bucket (frame). If you take a look at the Individual module plans ( https://www.avid.com/static/resource...ModuleDims.pdf ) you will notice that the fader module is in fact flat. It's the desk frame itself that sets it to an angle for visibility of the oled. So you could have a setup where the faders would be leveled to the ground if you wanted to without using the leg frame of the desk.

On the article shown it is definitely raked, as you say for the viewing angle. Yes, a wrist support can also aggravate carpal tunnel syndrome. Glad it's possible to mount the desk sensibly - most installs I've seen haven't though.

The leg frame (bucket frame also) of the S6 is what put's it in an angle (from what I have seen) if you set the modules on a flat table you will see that the modules are all leveled to the table.

And when you're spending 10hrs + at a console, little things like flat faders / controls and channel strip length make a huge difference, not only to your wrists but also back and neck. It's why AMS Neve DFCs have always been better for long usage than Harrison Series 12s.
