M-Audio Fast Track C600 causes Blue Screen due to driver failure.
I recently purchased a brand new Fast Track C600 series audio interface. After having installed it on my computer as per the instructions, I continue to constantly have blue screen of death errors on my PC every time I attempt to access it in my DAW. It has happened with every DAW I have tried, fom Cubase 5 to Acid Pro 7 to Audacity to the Protools SE that came bundled with it. I have a bit of knowledge about computers so I have tried all the common fixes. I have installed the latest drivers, run the PC optimizations on Avid's website, and I was so frustrated I even went so far as to COMPLETELY reinstall Windows 7 Professional SP 1 on my computer from scratch. I have a picture of the BSOD attached to show. I had extremely high hopes for this little interface that claims to do it all but so far my experience has been quite horrid. It crashes like I said and both M-Audio and Avid do not have readily available support for this interface, despite it being merely a few months old. I know the drivers for this interface are on Avid's site but I could not find a support forum there for the Fast Track so i decided to post to Pro Tools 10, which seems to be the DAW most users are using this interface with. I would really appreciate any support because as of now it seems I've just purchased a really expensive paperweight.

Also check in Device Manager to see if another device is sharing the same IRQ. You can choose to list devices by connection and view resources there also. You may find a shared IRQ or memory address. As far as I know two devices should not be sharing memory addresses. I believe the FFFFF address is the actual memory range mapped to that device.

Re: M-Audio Fast Track C600 causes Blue Screen due to driver failure.
I'm having the same problem. Whenever I begin using, playing notes through the midi in Cubase 8 with the Fast Track C600 as the playback device/ audio interface my XPS 3.10 Ghz 8.0GB RAM crashes and shows the Blue screen.
Any solutions or obvious fixes for this problem? |
