Waveform drawing after record

Our record room trashcan Mac had a meltdown and after getting it back from Apple we had to start from scratch and reinstall everything. For some reason now after we stop recording, the waveform drawing cause the cue to disappear for a second or more and then eventually shows up with the drawn waveform. Never used to do this and causes our recording engineer a heart attack every time it does this as they think they've lost the cue and slows down the session. Cleary we have not set a setting correctly but I can't find what the setting is. Any help would be appreciated. Could this be a CPU resource allocation setting or issue? Graphics card?

Sorry, forgot to mention, running PT Ultimate the latest version on trashcan Mac running Mojave.

Still not enough tech info.
Sometimes it takes a little bit to finish drawing the waveform after recording stops. As long as it's all there there's nothing to worry about.

Check Prefs, Processing tab, Parallel Task Optimizations at lower right. Try different settings. Just a guess.

No such thing in PT 2020.12 prefs in any tab
