I am not running any plugins on the dubber, just a 32 channel session full of mono tracks. Thanks for the reply, I will keep on this until it is solved.

Have you tried selecting "No Paging File"?

Located...Right click My Computer> Properties >Advanced > Performance Settings >Advanced >Virtual Memory "Change" >"No paging file" "Set

All of the above has been done to no success, I believe that the issue is related to the fact that when you open a session that has previously build waveforms, it has to build them again from scratch each time as if it forgets them. As a result of multiple destructive punches the waveform corruption issues build in a buffer and eventually crash the program. Just to be clear this did not happen in 7.3 it started in 7.4 (all versions) and is still in 8.
The same hardware is used, the only change was getting the new improved version of ProTools.
If only the same amount of effort was used by digi in promoting how good a product they have and fixing the problems they really have, you would have a product that I would be confident about using again in a critical situation.

From the response from digi and its agents, it seems the lights are growing dimmer in the land of digidesign.

I was sent an email to say they have found the issue and will be fixed some time soon. This is good news

I just wanted to point out that, if you ever want/need a guaranteed response from us, you should use the Tech Support Request Form, as we may not see, or be able to reply to, every post on the DUC.

I contacted phone support and had many emails back and forth, with the conclusion given that Digi will not do anything as I was not using a computer that is recommended by Digi and as a result was on my own.
This forum was not a first point of contact, but a last form of contact.
I also spoke in person to a few Digi folks a NAB trying to get a responce to this issue.

Try disabling your Audition Path in IO Setups and let us know if it helps.
