Duplicating Tracks (Why is it so slow?)
This is actually something I've noticed in the past but never took the time to ask about. Why does it take 15-20 seconds to duplicate an instrument track!!??
I did that test on a new session with about 3 software instrument tracks all with Structure. All the options were selected. Anyone know if this is just something Digidesign overlooks or is there a valid reason for this extreme work flow killer? |

Re: Duplicating Tracks (Why is it so slow?)
Because Structure is a sampler, it has to load the samples each time you open a new instance with a patch loaded. Same thing would happen with Kontakt, MachFive etc.

Re: Duplicating Tracks (Why is it so slow?)
Staying with the sampler topic for a moment, all my sampler players load MUCH faster in any other daw than they do in ProTools.
