Upgraded to PT12/10 and surrendered my PT MP9 ilok license, can I buy another?

Is it possible for me to purchase another PT MP9 license for my ilok? I would like to be able to have both licenses for 12/10 and 9.

You could buy another MP9 license, or buy 12 as an outright purchase(instead of an upgrade) and keep the MP license on its own iLok.

Well since my MP9 license was already surrendered, I will have to buy another MP9 license. But thanks for the info.

Yes.

PS, you are not restricted to buying another 9MP license, you could get a 9LE license, probably easier to find. LE being restricted to eork on Avid/Digidesign hardware, and MP being restricted to work with M-Audio hardware was phased out after version 8. There may have still been one or two small feature differences between LE and MP is version 9, but if anything its likely that MP had less features.

There is no PT9 "LE" as ALL pro tools 9 and up was open to 3rd party hardware so no ties to an Avid interface from PT9 and up. LE stopped with PT8

I remember people still calling it 'LE' as Avid did continue to develop the MP version as a separate product. So there was a Pro Tools 9 MP, but not a 10MP. I used the term just to differentiate the two versions.

Maybe I should have used that other well known and equally unofficial term .... 'vanilla' ;-)
