XMON loses firmware
I have a D Command and XMON, running PT 10.3.10 and the latest version of Mountain Lion. All was well until a few days ago, when the XMON lost its firmware. No problem! I just installed v.11 firmware, and everything worked for a day, but Saturday, the firmware disappeared 5 times! No crashes, no shutdowns, no restarts, just one minute it works, then not so much. Most of the time, it would allow us to reinstall the firmware, but a couple of times, it would not cooperate, showing Error 1. We limped through the day, but this is embarrassing, and I have searched everywhere for an answer. Is there a battery that stores the firmware? I can't find this anywhere? Thoughts? Anyone?

Re: XMON loses firmware
Maybe try boot mode and reinitialize with the original firmware, then upgrade to 10.3.x.
Not sure why it's losing it's firmware. Mine lost it once but has been fine since the boot mode reinitialize and update. Best….H (I think it's power up holding the left most channel's solo button, then "utilities", look for the reinitialize option.) |
