Omni system sounds with 2017 macbook pro
So Apple just replaced my laptop with a 2017 model, which appears to no longer have an optical out. My old setup no longer works now - how do I play system sounds through the omni without an optical out?

Well, this one seems to have solved itself. The audio appears to be going through my thunderbolt port if I pick 'HD Native Thunderbolt' as an output device. This never worked in the past, so I'm perplexed, but I'll take it.

With that said, it only works in OSX. I get no audio in windows / bootcamp, whereas I used to using optical out.
