Default Native vs HD - the differences

Hi, I'm looking for a definitive page/document listing all the differences between Protools Native and Protools HD - both 10 and 11. Can someone direct me to this? Thanks!

thanks Drew!

I can't see a reference to Trim automation, also Setting Group Attributes (so e.g. you can link plugins)

Are these also non-existent in PT Native?

Trim is considered part of the advanced automation features. Group attributes are less in PT native 10 and I'm not sure that's changed in 12. I don't have a native iLok asset to check it with sorry.

Yep, but was it me making decisions, all "advanced" stuff would be built into PT because that is "advanced" platform.

And With that said; Iwouldn't want to be making these decisions because I would throw stones at people who don't see PT MIDI is crippled compared to what users expect...

Attributes are indeed less in PT10 Native

It seems obvious that Avid deliberately preclude features purely to boost sales of ProtoolsHD and that's pretty annoying (JFreak I agree with you)

Post is changing big-time with "immersive" so we'll probably see that as an HD-only feature. It sounds like they are aiming vanilla at music and HD at post.

Music is also changing "big-time" as it seems nowadays you need a post studio to make the money. Whether you know how to mix stereo seems to be irrelevant now...

Believe it or not you actually can still make money in music. The fact that that sector of the business is, because of market forces, being left behind by Avid is really not a great thing. Really.

While we can still make money in music, post is growing the way music did during the 90s.
