Default Lost Communications-Sync I/O

Hello! I’ve been having issues recently with my Sync I/O. I’m running PT HD 10.3.10. When I get this “lost communications” message I have to wait until Pro Tools unlocks itself. Then I check the Synchronization tab under Setup and see it shows the Sync I/O which is grayed out as well as the port selection which says “None”. If I quit/force quit Pro Tools and restart I can usually get it launched but the settings under the Synchronization tab are still the same.

Is there something I’m missing here to get this working properly again? For the time being I have reverted to having my two 192 I/Os as their own master.

Thanks in advance!
