No plug ins folder in application support?
No plug ins folder in application support? Where are all of my AAX plugins stored? Im running Catilina 10.15.3 and Pro Tools 2020.
*edit* I was able to access it by going to the finder and clicking "Go" and then "Go To Folder.." and typing this in "/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins" but still can not find the folder when searching normally in the finder. Any ideas? |

Re: No plug ins folder in application support?
Open a Finder window and navigate to your Home folder.
From the Finder menu, click View > Show View Options. Place a checkmark in the box labeled Show Library Folder.

Re: No plug ins folder in application support?
I thought that the Library folder was hidden since at least Sierra? Actually I think it was even earlier than that. This would account for what the OP has to do to get to it.

Re: No plug ins folder in application support?
I know how to access the library folder. My issue is under application support my plugins folder seems to be hidden..

Re: No plug ins folder in application support?
As I wrote Apple started hiding it from end users a few OSX revisions back. Google is your friend on how to permanently have it show - you have to be comfortable with using Terminal to do the job.

I’m not sure searching in the Finder gives results from the system Library folder?

I gave you the instructions for how to permanently reveal the system library folder where you’ll find the plugins.

- but in Mojave i *still* cant see the AAX plugins folder, and PT is installed, and has run, and yet the only way to get to the AAX plugins folder is using the "Go" to path window. I can't get to it the old fashioned way. Super weird. any tips? thanks. |
