Default Real reference manual for pro tools 12

With all the new things PT has to offer and the changes of the way some things work or are even called in PT now does anybody else think it might be a good idea to bring back the big paper reference manual. Even if it is only sold separately. It would be nice to be able to have all the new things updated and revisions where applicable.

I like to study my manuals inside and out but the HD8 manual is just so many years out of date some of the terms do not even apply now.

11 has been out to long to worry about it so how about 12

I find that the, "What's new in Pro Tools x.x" pdf that comes with each new release and major update is a good reference source that keeps me up to date with all the new changes.

You could always print out the pdf of the manual - just make sure you have plenty of paper and toner. Print places may not print it for you because the manual is copyrighted and places like Kinko's or Office Depot or Staples don't print copyrighted stuff.

Or you could but an iPad and put the manual on there.

We're not going to see a PT12 for quite some time if at all so don't worry about it.

Save a tree and stick the PDF on an iPad or Kindle etc. Handy and searchable and up to date.

Yep. Manuals are obsolete before they are printed and sent to you, let alone read through

Before iPads I used to love physical manuals. Looked nice on the shelf. But I'm never going back again. But now I have too much empty shelf space available
