Default Catching up

Hello everyone!

It's been a long time since I've installed Pro Tools 8 LE on my mac. Now I wanna format my machine but I have some question for you guys who are up to date about bugfixes and such.

At the time my system was set, I was recommended to keep my OS stuck in version 10.5.7 because Pro Tools wasn't stable on 10.5.8 yet.

Also, I had to install the cs3 update to avoid system crashes with the MBox 2 CoreAudio.

So how's the panorama nowadays? Can I install Mac OSX 10.5.8 + Pro Tools 8.0.3 + cs2 update and run smoothly? Is it stable? And what about the old problem with the MBox2 USB CoreAudio crash? Also gone?

One more thing: I bought the "mp3 option" back then but it's not appearing on the list at the new site "account.avid.com". Only ProTools and Celemony. Where can I find it?

Thanks in advance!

Daniel

I have a 003R, not an mbox, so I can only speak for my experience. I'm on 10.5.8 with the latest cs update and it's working fine.
