Final Cut Express and Digi Hardware?

Does anyone know whether Final Cut Express allows it's audio to come out your Digi hardware (HD system) ? I know Final Cut Pro does, but about a year or two ago, using a Digi 002 system, EXPRESS would not "see" the Digi hardware. Has this changed?
