Best Studio Management Software?
I'm looking to invest in a software program that is utilized in management of a profesional recording facility. Basically a Point of Sale software that will track inventory, session schedules, invoices, AP, etc.
Any suggestions or links would be greatly appreciated. Ross |

Re: Best Studio Management Software?
we use filemaker. they have some basic templates and you can configure it to do just about eveything.
I enter the info on my "Engineer" page and it translates to the label print page, machine room tech page as well as the invoice that get's exported as a pdf and then emailed to producers. Ours is pretty extensive but you can always start and add to it. It's also networked to all studio machines as well as my computer's at home. You can also publish html. |

I use MYOB. Pretty crappy user interface, but it gets the job done.

Re: Best Studio Management Software?
StudioSuite (www.studiosuite.com) is what you are looking for. We use it at our facility for approx. 6 years and it is great. It does everything you want and more, it's scalable and easily customized. They are now shipping the latest version of the software full with interesting addons. And the owner of the company Joel Stoner (an engineer himself) provides great customer service. Get it, you won't regret it!
Now doesn't that sound like an ad? Barnier

Re: Best Studio Management Software?
Studio Suite just looks like a filemaker database. It looks slick, but filemaker can be had for $250. If you need something immediately its probably great for an extra $500, but if you're on a budget, its not hard to create your own database in filemaker.

Re: Best Studio Management Software?
Hello all,
I use FilemakerPro for other things, but didn't know that it might also be good for studio management chores. Doesn't anyone know of a template that's available for download? Thanks, Craig |

A Google search for “Recording Studio Management software” yields quite a few returns.
