Pro Tools and Reason not recognising Midi
Can someone please help me with my dilemma?
I am using Pro Tools LE version 8.0 with an MBox 2 and Roland FP3 on PC. When I upgraded to version 8.0 at the start of the year, Reason would no longer work. I had to input the registration details in order for it to work again (these I could not find), but I later found them when I moved house. I re-registered Reason and it was then available to use. But since then, Pro Tools and Reason do not recognise my midi cable. I've checked it's all connected and tried under various menus to find the problem. Can somebody please suggest what may be the problem? Thank you |

Re: Pro Tools and Reason not recognising Midi
For starters, make sure the midi cables are all the way in. This has happened to me. If you have an extra cable try that one too. Cables go bad every now and then, so I hear.

Re: Pro Tools and Reason not recognising Midi
Thanks for your reply. I bought a new lead but no luck. I've pushed them in as far as possible but it doesn't seem to work either way.
Would you recommend reinstalling ProTools and Reason? |

Re: Pro Tools and Reason not recognising Midi
Have you tried going into the midi setup to make sure nothing has changed?
