PT 002 Rack SPDIF not seeing Rosetta 200?

Hi everyone,

I use an Apogee Rosetta 200 for A/D with my 002 Rack via SPDIF. It works fine when I do sessions in 44.1 or 48, but when I'm in 88.2 or 96, I get "Input Path Not Available". Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I'm using PT 7.4cs7 with 002R, Mac OS 10.4.11
G5 Dual 2.5mHz PowerPC.

Any suggestions?

You are using the RCA type digital connectors, correct? I'm not sure if the 002 accepts those sample rates on the Toslink (squarish) type connectors usually reserved for ADAT type inputs. I could be wrong though. What inputs are assigned in your I/O?

Not at home with system right now, but if no one has answered by the time I get home CST, I'll try the other connector (toslink) and see what sample rates I get as well.

spdif via rca and aes go up to 192k

spdif via lightpipe is limited to 96k


of course these are all limited to 96k by the 002 itself.

I am using SPDIF with a RCA cable from the Rosetta to the 002R SPDIF in. The setup works fine for 44.1 and 48k sessions, so I'm not sure what's up.

Have you verified in Setups>IO Setups that the SPDIF paths are available when you're in a 96k session?

Thanks. I didn't know I had to manually activate the spdif when switching the sampling rate. It seems to be working now.
