Default Pro Tools 12.8.2 supported on Yosemite?

Hey Jeffro,
Can you confirm whether 12.8.2 is, or is not, compatible with Yosemite 10.10.x? There is conflicting info in the ReadMe vs the PT12 System Requirements page, and no mention in the Release Notes.
Thanks!

It was a late discovery that GUI work with the current Apple SDK introduced problems with Yosemite. This info failed to make it into the readme.

A rewrite to go back to Yosemite compatibility is probably not going to happen since it appears there aren't any Macs on Yosemite that can't go to El Capitan.

Right, what James said. We have corrected the Mac Read Me (in accounts and linked from the Release Info article) to reflect this. Sorry for the confusion this caused.

Oh man... didn't expected to have to move from Yosemite so soon! I'd love to try the new VR tools but... to install a new operational system, all plugins, all software, test it, its at least a 3 days job. Not going to happen now.

Me too.
This will keep me on 12.8.1

I'm not convinced enough to be forced to change OS just for this update.

As a matter of fact, earlier today I felt a bit adventurous and gave it a spin.

I found a few graphic glitches in the UI of the channel strip plug-in and Expand2!, ugly but not impairing functionality. All other Avid and third party plug-ins seemed fine.

The real pain is in the metering which is laggy and jerky. Of course I can't be entirely sure this is solely due to the Yosemite/12.8.2 combo since this has been reported on other OS's.

Anyway, went back to 12.8.1

I'm on Yosemite 10.10.5 and I'm using PT HD 12.8.2 without any issues at this stage.

I'm not seeing any GUI issues (yet) and I don't have any lag.

I'm working in a session with hundreds of tracks, multiple videos and scores of plug ins (Avid and third party) and all seems fine.

I opened a few bigger sessions, made in earlier versions of PT, and they seem fine too.
