Default 18 Cheap Large Diaphragm Condenser Vocal Mic Test

Hey my DUC brethren - cheap, well a few aren't that cheap but most are. Would love to hear what you think including "dude, you should buy better mics and pres etc..."

Recorded with Digidesign PRE into Digidesign 192 Analog to Digital clocked with Apogee Big Ben at 44.1 khz 24 bit into Pro Tools 12.8.1 HD 2010 Mac Pro with Digidesign Native HD card. Plugins used Waves Renaissance Vox, L2 and H-Reverb - no EQ. Clip-gain was used to raise +2 to +7 DB. Original song Always and Forever chorus copyright 2014, JTA Music.

are you providing high res files to download, or are we supposed to judge on youtube audio quality?

yeah youtube does kinda skew the data a bit.

My first mic was the MAudio Luna......it was a decent sounding mic for $30.

However I am currently in love with my Miktek CV4..... :)

That's a great point! I'll bounce them out when I get home tonight and do 2 versions - one dry no music and one with music. I'll provide as individual 44.1, 24bit wav files for quick DAW import and comparison.
