Pro Tools Midi: External Keyboard Input to Piano Roll's Keyboard

I have my midi set up and input functions fully in PT. but is ther a way to play External Keyboard and have the Piano Roll's Keyboard be connected like it is to softsynths?

Are you talking about the little keyboard-like item towards the left of a MIDI track in the Edit window? Or are you talking about the keyboard-like item in the standalone MIDI editor window? Or is what you're talking about something different? Please explain exactly what you're talking about and what you're trying to do.
