Which version of BFD specifically? The full version, or the demo? (the demo is not RTAS compatible).

Was it installed before you installed Pro Tools? If so, you might need to re-install BFD.

"premium acoustic drum module v 1.5" NOT a demo.
Have reinstalled BFD 3 times (with PTools already up and running) to no avail. Thanks for your help.

By the way........I can use BFD alone just fine..........it's when I open PT that it's nowhere to be found.

When I click on "output" in mixer channel........the only thing listed "microsoft midimapper". I think this is where BFD should be found? Have tried Midi channels, audio channels, instrument channels.

No. BFD is a plugin insert. It should show up in the insert menu of your aux, instrument or audio tracks.

Wait, while it was running? Definitely should be installed with no other software running.

not showing up as a plug-in insert. I believe it should be coming up in "Insert" "Other"...but...it's not in any of the insert listings.

BFD should actually show up in the "Instrument" category on the insert list.

When you run the BFD installer, are you making sure to select the BFD RTAS version during the install process? (hint: you need to be)

Here's a photo example: BFD Install selections

If your BFD install does not include that option or that window, then you do not have the proper version of BFD.

The menu that lists "rta for pt7" is the same setup menu that is in the photo you mentioned. There are 2 choices for RTA......PTools 6 and PTools 7. This is on the original, registered setup install disk.
