Help with distortions

Ok, so i got the whole recording thing down for the MBOX 2 Pro, but i was wondering how i can add pre made beats and instrument sounds to my recordings like you would do in other systems such as Garage Band? For example, I have recorded myself playing the guitar, but is there a way to distort what i have recorded already to make it echo or sound like an acoustic guitar? And is there a way to add in other computer generated sounds?

PS~ what is this "Pro Tools Ignition Pack 2" CD for?

To add audio loops, you can drag and drop them to the track list, on the edit window or on the region list.
To distort your guitar, you can try a distortion plug in such as Trash or a guitar modelling plug in such as Amplitube.(the le version comes with the ignition pack)
For echo or delay, you can use an echo or delay plug in.(delay comes with Pro Tools)
Ignition Pack comes wth additional plug ins and applications that you might want to use in conjunction with Pro Tools.
