For lack of a better name for it I'm going to call it 'Icon Cafe'

What is 'Icon Cafe'?

Geeky get together for people interested in Icon.

Why ?

No specific reason but if one ... exchange ideas and workflows specific to Icon

The Menu

- I explain and demonstrate how I use my Icon system during tracking, editing and mixing.
- You do the same ...
- We try to convince each other which way works better and why ...
- We all walk away withe new ideas one how to improve our workflows

What's the catch ?

No catch. Icon Cafe is free of charge and has no commercial purpose whatsoever. It is my own private initiative.

Who is Icon Cafe intended for ?

Anyone interested in Icon system workflows in general. You don't need to be an Icon user or owner to attend. A positive mindset and a general interest is all you need to make it worth while.

Where ?

In Ans (Liege) / Belgium. Sorry ... I wish it were better located for most of you ... but hey ... feel free to hop on an airplane and fly over. If you're within a couple of hours driving distance you should definitely consider coming over.

When ?

To Be Determined. Second half of May 2010.

Do I need to notify upfront ?

Yes please. To keep things comfortable and especially useful for everyone there will be a very strict limit of attendees. If there's enough interest I'd consider working in small groups of say 4 or 5 people but that remains to be seen. The main purpose of this post is get an idea of how many would be interested in attending / participating.

Thanks for the initiative, Chris, and for your endless Icon tips. I will do my best to visit in person, since Russia is not so far from Belgium :). If you plan to hold it in several small groups, I'll appreciate meeting with more or less post or surround-oriented folks. If you need any help in organizing this event, I'm at your service.
