Default OS X Lion update

I had OS X 10.4.? (last I looked it was 10.4.11) and Pro Tools LE 7.? (2 or 3 I think). System froze up and had to have OS X completely downloaded and it came up as OS X 10.4.11. Tried to open Pro Tools and the icon just kept bouncing. Genius Bar suggested removing Pro Tools and then loading it back up (so PT LE 7.0). It didn't work. Icon either bounced once or would not stop bouncing.

Had problems with other programs loading and was told to upgrade OS X to lion, so I have just done that.

Haven't really used Pro Tools in years and have Garage Band I guess I can learn to use, but wondering about what version of Pro Tools I would need to run on Lion (if that's been figured out yet) and if anybody has an idea of a cost? Would I need to load Pro Tools LE 7.0 and then to a ton of updates? Don't want to spend a fortune as I'm only trying to see if I can bring it up as a hobbyist, and that I can do with my stand alone recorder and Garage band, but it would be nice to have PT if I can get it back up and running for only a few $.

Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Both Pro Tools 9.0.6 and Pro Tools 10.x will run on OS Lion.

If it were up to me, I would try to skip PT 9 at this point and jump to 10

As for pricing and possibilities. It is not going to be free. I suggest you go talk to one of our resellers in your area and ask for advice.
