Default Sync issue? Recording is doing the opposite of Lagging..weird

My Set Up:
Dual 2 GHz PowerMac G5
Mac OS 10.4.11
Pro Tools M-powered 7.3.1
Interface: M-audio Firewire 1814 w/ Octane via ADAT (set as sync source)

So I've been running into this little problem lately that when I record audio, and then play it back it seems to be slightly out of sync from the rest of the session. It plays back very slightly ahead of the rest of it, like it's jumping the gun a little bit. I don't really understand, because it's doing the exact opposite of lagging behind. And it's only very subtle... But I've found that if I zoom in to a certain level, and manually shift the entire region to the right just a little bit, it fixes this timing/sync/whatever issue. But that is getting tiring, and I would like to not have to shift the region over every time a record something new.

Thanks

Is the “rest of the session” using plug-ins with some latency?

No man, these are all completely dry tracks. While tracking, everything is fine, I am sitting in the groove, finding the pocket, etc... (obviously, since if this problem was happening while tracking, Pro Tools would be traveling ahead in time a few milliseconds and giving me a future monitor signal ). But when I go to playback what I thought was a magnificent take, it sounds like I hired some musician that is ever so slightly ahead of every single beat.

Is everyone having this issue on 10.4.11? What version of Pro-Tools are you using?

Default the Opposite.

I'm having the opposite problem to you guys...

I have a Profire26IO & recordings are 4500-odd samples late in my session. This isn't to be confused with monitor latency - this is on playback after recording. When I monitor the performance I do so thru the Profire's low-latency software. On playback its dramatically out.

I'm using a Liquid4Pre via ADAT (clocking off the Liquid4Pre via BNC).

Using Leopard 10.5.6 w/ PTMP v7.4.2cs3.

Maybe its due to using 10.5.6? Support only goes to 10.5.4 for 7.4.2...

Do you possibly have high-latency plug-ins on your Master Fader or anywhere in line with the output from Pro Tools?
