Line 6 toneport nightmare...
Sorry if this has been covered before....but I have to ask...
I bought a Line 6 GX toneport and installed all the drivers etc. etc. to work with POD Farm Platinum (that I purchased beforehand) because I heard it would fix the "latency" problem. It just gave me an extra problem because I get no signal in PT...no recognition of the device. So how do I get PT to recognize and fix the latency? |

Re: Line 6 toneport nightmare...
Hate to be the bearer of bad news for you, but all audio into ProTools has to go through a ProTools interface. Your toneport is an USB interface and will not be recognized by PT.
I run my guitars directly into my PT interface (in my case an 002), set my hardware buffer to its lowest setting (64 for me), and use an amp sim plug-in. No problems with latency, I haven't had a guitartist have any problem recording this way. |
