Upgrading to Reason 7 from my previous version (Reason 3) only cost $129 US.

Hey man,
So sorry to be late in response... I'm not on these boards that often...

Yeah, since this was on our "B" rig, (which runs Reason full-time), RSN 6.5 was already installed...also, there was no prior version of Pro Tools on this machine.

I THEN did the demo install of PT 11 (non-HD) via the Avid demo installer.

Also, on this machine, since we're only running Rsn on it, there was no need to additionally install the 32 bit version, so it was 64 bit only.

We DO have both the 64 bit (for standalone use) and 32 bit (for using with our PT 8.1.1 TDM rig) on our main rig, just not on this one....

No problem at all with asking the Q's, man! I've been helped on here so many times that I'm glad to be able to "give a little back". I hope you find something here useful.
If you need to, feel free to reach me via email (atsm at cinci dot rr dot com)... I tend to be able to answer that a LOT faster!

Sorry for all the questions, still struggling with it and I'm now wondering if the order/procedure is important.

Thanks again Rick, that's also helpful because yours was a clean install, whereas I am coming from 32 bit version of Reason/PT 9. I did an uninstall of both before upgrading, but I'm thinking some junk got left behind and is causing corruption or something.

FYI in the hopes someone at Avid wants to take a look at this, I just noticed a new thread about the same trouble but with Reaper 64 bit.

Also FYI in case Avid is listening, I've tried a modified version of the Sibelius cleanup (had to delete the Reason directory instead of the Sibelius one) but that didn't help. Also tried the Reason 7 demo but to no avail.

In OSX there is a flag that you have to set on the app that decides whether Reason runs in 32 or 64 bit mode. With PT10 the flag had to be 32 bit, obviously it needs to be 64 bit for 11. Maybe there's the same in Windows?

This is in Reason itself, right? And what happens if you don't change the setting? I didn't when I tried Reason 7 in PT11 demo and nothing untoward happened that I could see.

Avid support is working it yo, on a Saturday! 11.0.1 fixed the Reason 64 bit issue I was having. Thanks AVID! Thanks again for all the suggestions and support from the forum as well.

My Reason does not show up as a Rewire either. The Sweetwater Tech had no answer
I will dump all and re-load YET again. Getting real sick of Pro Tools, REALLY sick of it. A live-sized Timewaster

Would like to help but you give zero information on your system (Windows/Mac, operating system, exact PT revision, etc. Without that we're just guessing and that wastes time.
