ERXP FW Installer Problems.

OK, so I'm still waiting to enjoy the delights of the expansion pack.

I'm on Mac: I ran the installer package, which updated the software for the Eleven Rack and the installer tells me that the FW installer has been placed on the desktop, but it hasn't.

I've searched the computer to see where it might be, but I can't find anything, so my question is how do I now update my FW?

I've got my serial and System ID numbers all ready and waiting, but no idea where to go from here.

I have all up to date drivers installed.

System:
i7 iMac, 8GB RAM, SSD system drive, SATA internal audio drive.
Protools 9.0.2 (not running during installation!)

did you move your desktop folder from its usual place?

I have this exact same problem but on a PC running VISTA.....my Desktop is in a normal position, I have never moved it and have never had any program struggle to find my desktop???? The MAC fix thread doesn't seem to work for me. Can someone please give me the Windows VISTA run down on how to fix this problem? Thank you. Jon

You know I looked around to see if there were any similar problems with other users and I didn't see that thread, which is identical to my situation.

All installed, updated and redy to rock now!

What is your exact problem man?

You unzipped the folder and ran the first .exe, then what? It "said" it put the folder on the desktop, but did not?

For Vista:

1. Update to Windows 7. I mean come on!
2. It's possible that you just need to refresh your Desktop.
3. The folder is called "Avid Eleven Rack Updater", so you know exactly what to look for.

What version of Pro Tools are you running, and do you have the latest Service Pack for Vista? 32-bit?

Vista works fine for everything I do....not broken don't fix it Perhaps I need to spend money on W7 just for the eleven rack????

Desktop refreshed still no updater on Desktop so I find the Eleven Rack Updater using the "find" tool in Windows and it indeed finds the Eleven Rack Updater version 1.0.3.0......it cannot find one with version 2. I have donwloaded the expansion pack 3 times now......

I'm on XP and I can not get the Eleven Rack update to work.

The bar never proceeds from 0, and the found new hardware wizard prompt says that it can not find the necessary software. Even though I selected Yes, this time only for letting windows connect to Windows Update to search for software. I don't have IE 9. I have IE 8 and I have used Google Chrome for everything so far. Please help...
