Default Automation how to....

Now I have my mix almost cool so that I can start automating stuff but as soon as I enable automation the balance is completely whacked. I must have messed around with automation previously.

How Can I use my current ok state as the starting point for automation?

As always... THANKS A LOT!

Which automation mode are you in when your mix is almost cool? Which automation mode are you switching to that is causing the balance to be completely whacked?

Default Re: Automation how to....

In the automation palette, with automation *SUSPENDED*, make sure all individual automation parameters (mute, pan, send mute, send pan, plugins, volume) are enabled (even though master automation is suspended).

Then display volume automation on all tracks (set the track display pull-down to "volume" with option key held down).

Select across all tracks to the end of the session timeline and hit "control-delete" - this will remove all automation breakpoints.

Now you can enable automation.
