Using gain on Mbox for distortion effect
I play guitar and have been experimenting with pugging in directly and using the MBox's gain control to create my sound. I have been trying various manufacturer plug-ins like Amplitube, Sansamp, etc.
They sound real good but I do like that direct sound from going straight in. I always did it that way on the tascam. What I want to know is that damaging in any way to my system? Can I blow out a pre-amp that way? Is this causing clipping? I always set the master at 0db when i do this... |

Re: Using gain on Mbox for distortion effect
as with an amp, if you can manage to blow a preamp you can say you had a good session (gig). also, try straight in through a fuzzbox.
