Default PT 12.8 Mix-window fader lag
Hello there!

I noticed that when I have both my arrangement window and my mix window side by side, my track's volume fader stutters terribly when trying to track/record its movements (automation) with my mouse. I can see that the transport bar's counter also stutters horribly when I perform this action. (and I'm talking about a session with only 3 tracks in it...lol)

When I maximize the mix window (hiding the arrangement window in the back) and try record the automation again; the fader moves up and down smoothly.

This issue only occurs when I have both the mix and arrangement window sitting side by side on screen.

I'm running PT 12.8 on a MacBook Pro 15" mid-2015 with the dedicated AMD radeon GPU.

Does it happen to anyone else? Is it a common bug? Not sure what to make of it.

I noticed the same on my 15" MBP (similar to yours), but I don't have the problem on my Hackintosh (see my sig), so I'm thinking it's a GPU thing.

Is your edit window on continuous scroll, or page-by-page?

hi, are you running 10.12.5 ?? i see some oddness when i have PT Edit Window and my Lynx Mixer on same screen .. but PT does not Flinch, it is my Lynx mixer that gets the jumpy faders ..

Yes, there is definitely a problem with 12.8, just started after updating.
Screenshot below shows my automation using Artist Mix controller on the left and using the mouse on the right, huge difference, hard to see on this tiny pic.

Sorry, I'm not on 12.8, I'm on 2018.7, just started after updating to 2018.7.
